Day 77

Today was a rest day.  I could feel that my body was a bit sore from the tumble I took running and I was due for a rest.  Tomorrow I plan on doing resistance training and then teaching Balletone in the evening.

Day 76

Day 76 Today was going to be a bike ride, but I got busy and didn’t have the time.  So I ran 2 miles.  Right at the end of my run, I tripped and took a slight tumble…grazed my elbow, both knees and my hand.  Good thing I didn’t break anything!  Maybe it was good that I didn’t go bike riding as who knows what would have happened on the bike! Anyway, I’m no worse for the wear and thankfully will be able to lift weights on Monday.

Day 75

Last beach run of the vacation (SOB!) and so I made it a good one.  Ran 2.5 miles at a decent pace and felt great!  So sad to be leaving my happy place, but happy to get back on track with eating.  I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the role of nutrition and prevention of disease, sickness, etc. and I’ve decided I’m going to start juicing.  Looking forward to the creations I’ll be concocting and sharing

Day 74

It was a day of rest and I really appreciate it!  My body had been feeling tired and so I listened and I feel better for it!   Tomorrow I will be well rested and ready to tackle a 2.5 mile run!  I’m also going to do some abdominals afterwards.

Day 73

Today I walked 1 mile then did a light resistance workout.  I was still feeling a bit sore from my run the previous day so I did a little legs but focused on upper body.   I also only did 2 sets of each exercise as I was tired today for some reason.  Tomorrow I will take a day of rest then try to run 2.5 miles on Friday.

Day 72

Today was a 2 mile run.  Eating has been really bad, it’s hard timing wise and vacation.  So I plan on hitting the eating really hard and strict when I get back.   That’s the thing about real life and real life eating.  You cannot sustain a regimen that doesn’t allow for special times of special food.  The key is having the tools to get back on track and stay focused.  And that’s what I plan on doing!

Day 71

Back to work today!   1 mile run and upper and lower body resistance and body weight training.  I worked out with my daughter and it was nice to have a training partner.  I’m not used to working out with anyone anymore.  Usually my workouts are done online with others, but it’s not the same.  This was a nice treat!

Day 70

Well deserved Rest day today!  It feels good to give my body a break. Exercise is so important to eliminate the free radical cells that wreak havoc on the body and can cause cancer.  However, equally important is taking a rest day to give your body a chance to recover and repair.  I enjoyed taking the day off and relaxing on the beach, even though I still did a lot of walking.  I am thoroughly enjoying the beautiful weather we’ve been having.  Tomorrow will be ...

Day 69

Today was a light workout day for me with walking lunges, jog, pushups and abs.  However for the 3 ladies that did my bootcamp, it was a lot harder LOL!  They did resistance bands and other leg exercises in addition to the exercises I did.  It was a great workout on a beautiful morning!  Here’s the champs themselves:

Day 68

Today my husband and I did a 20 mile bike ride from Ocean City to Atlantic city and back.  It’s another gorgeous day and I really enjoyed the ride!  I am so thankful to be able to do physical things like this, and I appreciate my body and the strength I have.  Movement is key in aging, as well as eating correctly.  Now more than ever I want to keep up my strength and vitality as I age.  Below is a picture of the beach at Atlantic City where we stopped before we ...
