Tonight I taught a Zumba class.  Always fun!  

Did you know that when you learn new dance steps, it helps your brain to make new connections, and rewire in a way that helps to prevent dementia?  Learning completely new things, that you didn’t know before is so important for preserving brain health.  I’m currently learning spanish and it’s a challenge!  But I know in the long run, even if I am not fluent in the language, it will go a long way to helping me ward off Alzheimers and other related diseases.  The same goes for exercising.  Instead of doing the same exercise routine over and over again, try doing a completely new type of exercise and not only will your body get a workout, but your brain will too!
