This morning I taught a toning class and then did a lot of walking. Been blessed with absolutely gorgeous weather! Eating is sporadic but not too bad. Come August 1st I’ll be back on the Fast Metabolism Diet full force.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the role nutrition plays in preventing and dealing with sickness and disease. It’s fascinating. They are finding more and more that an anti inflammatory diet is so crucial for this. I’ve always believed this myself, and know that Sugar is a huge culprit of inflammation. I’ve really experienced this myself, especially after menopause. Every time I indulge in a lot of refined sugar, I experience a lot of hot flashes and joint pain. When I cut out refined sugar in my diet, I feel fabulous. Taking tumeric capsules also helps greatly, as well as focusing on increasing protein.
